Das Thema „Erhalt des Kuca“ ist immer noch aktuell, im Hebst wird es im Bauausschuss des Gemeinderates wahrscheinlich wieder einen Sachstandsbericht zur gegenwärtigen Planung und Bebauung geben.
Das Video ist auch für die Bewerbung des Kulturcafes um den Landeslehrpreis, inwieweit der Landeslehrpreis der nun dafür geignete Preist ist, sei nun man dahin gestellt. Aber der Film ist ganz schön und wirklich sehenswert.
Gut teilweise ist der Film etwas „out-of-focus“ und im Gegenlicht gefilmt, aber wir studieren ja Lehramt und nicht Filmwissenschaften. Erstaunlich das sogar Herr Druwe sich recht positiv zeigt, vielleicht wird dass die KuCa Politik des Rektorats verändern.

She gave a lecture at this years NYRIS 11 Conference in Turku, which I attended. After the lecture I had the opportunity to ask her about teaching 9/11. Since she is one of the foremost critical thinkers on that aera and her work deals a lot with the impact of 9/11 on American minority youth it was very interesting to listen to her views.
Nun an der PH sind bald Wahlen für die Gremien und wir Studierende sollten uns da auch einbringen. In der PH sollte es ja Auswahl geben und auch unterschiedliche Kandidaten.
Mehr zu meinen Positionen werde ich auch noch schreiben, bei Gelegenheit. Vielleicht ist so ein kleiner Wahlkampf ja eine gute Sache um die Wahl ein wenig zu politisieren.

Today I’m off for Finland again to present my thesis about youth councils in the German state of Baden-Württemberg and Finland. I will present this at NYRIS 11 and be in the Comparative Youth Participation Session. I feel very honoured to be in a session with such important researchers and hope to have inspiring meetings there.
Since 1996 there have been major developments in the field of youth councils in the State of Baden-Württemberg, the number rose from 16 to over 89 today. This study is the first survey of the attitudes of youth councilors in the German state of Baden-Württemberg since 1996 and the first comparative research of the conditions, attitudes and structure of youth councils and their members in Germany and Finland. In the last couple of weeks I attend a very intensive class at the PH. Usually our classes are via one term and only two hours per week. This class is only four weeks but 8 hours each week, so we are together a lot. Its only my second class in which we are on first name base with the lecturer, the other one was with Tonio Oeftering when he had just started his PhD Program and we intensivly read texts about Hannah Arendt, one of the most intresting polictics Seminars I did ever.

But back to our Class about Classroom Research. I had a seminar in English about it once with another lecturer but it wasn’t that interesting and I don’t remember so much. Heather is really full of power („Energiebündel“) and seems to be very enthusiastic about what she does. I wish we had more lectures like this. Though I wonder if she is very leftist? At least she seems to have a high rateing on the scales for political zynisism.
I wish we had more exchange lectureres it makes studying so much more intresting.
